Hi,
I found your website by following the link you posted in your profile at http://www.backpackinglight.com. I was researching the Ray-way backpack and noticed you recently finished sewing it. Good job sewing the pack!
I too am considering sewing this backpack. I thought about buying the kit but after doing some research, I estimated that I could build two backpacks for the price of one by buying the raw materials myself. Based on pictures of the backpack and Ray’s book “Trail Life”, I am going to attempt sewing my own version of this backpack.
Before I begin sewing the pack, I was wondering if you could offer up any advice or lessons learned while you were sewing it. I would even be willing to purchase the sewing instructions from you!
